About the subject
A few months back, I was searching for exercise tips in google and I stumbled upon this blog modelwarren.tumblr.com
I started reading this blog. I was really surprised at how inspiring the writing in this blog was. The author of the blog is Warren K Carlyle IV. He is a great model. A very good looking guy indeed. But most importantly, a very beautiful person. What's great about him is that when you read what he writes, he feels like a humble guy living next door to you, with whom you can relate at ground level. He is an inspiring person. The ones who are into fitness, must follow his blog. I am sure they'd be inspired by his transformation. He also helps out people to achieve their fitness goals. Have a look at his blog. His fitness website is coming up soon. Have a look at his blog.......

As far as Art goes, the artists who use Models or photographs of the models for their art, it is really tough to find a inspiring model, not only just by looks but someone / something with whom the artist can relate, a model who can be a muse to the artist. With Warren's, it was like that, I was reading his blog I knew I wanted to draw him. Also because, although he is a model, yet he looks very earthy, very realistic. I believe that's how a male model ought to look like. Its a shame that it took me that long to do a drawing of him. But anyway I did it & happy with how it turned out to be. It would be great if Warren would have a look at it.
This art piece was supposed to be a fast sketch, which obviously turned out to far more than that. I had this reference image stored in my laptop, but with a fully drained battery in it I couldn't use it from the beginning. I was inspired that night, so, I started doing it anyway from what I could remember of his face. The WC...w.i.p is done fully from memory with no photo reference at hand. I was done with the face & hair in about 5-6 hours & then the next day I charged my laptop & did the sweater Wc...w.i.p...2 & finally finished the details of it yesterday.
Its done using graphite & soft charcoal combination on smooth grade drawing paper.
size = A4
2H, 2B, 4B, 6B pencils, & soft charcoal are used to draw this.

Took about 20 hours to complete this.
No Blending is done in this one.
